About the classroom

The Trading Classroom is an independent trading education site for complete beginners. It exists because most free trading content is either trying to sell you something or written for people who already understand it.

Professor Ollie the otter
Professor Ollie is our teaching mascot, not a real analyst. He is here to make the lessons friendlier, not to give you advice.

Who writes the lessons

Lessons are written and reviewed by the The Trading Classroom editorial team and published under the site name rather than personal bylines. We are a small independent publisher, not a broker, not a fund, and not affiliated with any trading platform.

You will not find invented expert profiles or stock-photo analysts here. If a lesson makes a factual claim, the claim itself is what should convince you, not a job title next to a face.

How a lesson gets made

  1. 1We pick a topic beginners actually search for, not whatever pays the most.
  2. 2We draft the lesson in plain English, with worked examples using real numbers.
  3. 3Every calculation is recomputed from first principles before publishing. Pip values, margin requirements and spread costs are checked, not copied.
  4. 4We remove anything that reads as a profit promise. Trading education should never imply an outcome.
  5. 5We date the lesson and correct it when something changes or when a reader tells us we are wrong.

What we will never do

Sell you signals, mentorships, or a paid group chat.
Promise returns, or show account screenshots as proof of anything.
Rank brokers by whoever pays us the most. If we ever earn a commission from a link, it will say so on the page itself.
Publish a lesson we have not checked, just to have more pages.

Contact and corrections

A word on risk

Trading forex and CFDs with leverage carries a high risk of losing money quickly. Most retail traders lose. Everything on this site is general education, never personal financial advice, and we are not licensed to give you any. If you need advice about your own situation, speak to a licensed professional in your country.
